On October 22, an exciting debate on the topic "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ethics" was held at the Department of Technical Translation and Professional Communications of the Higher School of Printing and Media Technologies, in which students of groups 2-TID-3 and 2-GID-10 actively participated. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, Associate Professor Basenko G. V. and Associate Professor Bagrov Yu. D. the participants demonstrated not only a deep knowledge of the subject, but also a high level of English proficiency, which, of course, is an important element for future specialists in the field of information technology.

The debates were organised at a high level, and students of both teams brilliantly argued their positions "For" and "Against" artificial intelligence. This indicates that teaching not only theoretical aspects, but also practical skills is one of the priorities of the department. It is especially worth noting the oratory skills of students, which allowed them to convincingly convey their ideas to the audience. The teachers present noted that the level of training of students was at the highest level, which inspires hope for future success in their careers.

In addition to the main part of the debate, a specialised dictionary on AI vocabulary was developed, which is an excellent tool for further study of the topic and deepening knowledge. This shows the department's concern that students not only participate in the debate, but also can continue their studies.

Congratulations to the 2-TID-3 group on their well-deserved victory! Their arguments in Defence of artificial intelligence were convincing and well structured. We wish all debate participants to continue their search for knowledge and reach new heights in their studies and future profession. Obviously, the conference was successful and contributed to the development of critical thinking and communication skills among students, which is extremely important in the modern world filled with new technologies and challenges.
